Supplying communications systems for signature stations.
The Orange Line Expansion (I-1/I-2 and I-3) was comprised of 3 light rail segments totaling 14.4 miles, providing vital transit access to the Dallas-Fort Worth airport. The project included designing and constructing five signature light rail stations.
MRS was responsible for the communications design and furnishing of all field equipment for various systems, including the Communications Transmission System (CTS), Public Address (PA) system, Variable Message Signs (VMS), Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), Emergency Telephones (ETEL), and telephone and SCADA systems. Our comprehensive involvement ensured that the Orange Line stations were equipped with advanced communication and monitoring systems, enhancing both passenger experience and operational efficiency.
