Petaluma North Station Platform
Installing signaling systems to enhance safety in Petaluma.
Installing signaling systems to enhance safety in Petaluma.
This project involves furnishing, installing, and testing signal and crossing equipment for a new station north of Petaluma. Upon completion, the project will include three temporary point protection software switches, four new signal houses, modifications to signal houses in 20 other locations, and 12 new pedestrian gates.
The implementation will be carefully phased to ensure minimal disruption to existing operations. The three temporary point protection software switches will be strategically installed and managed throughout different stages of the project to maintain safety and efficiency during construction. Each phase will be meticulously planned to align with operational schedules and minimize impact on transit services.
Additionally, MRS will conduct a comprehensive 56-hour systems cutover to ensure that all systems are up-to-date and communicating properly. This cutover will involve thorough testing and validation of the integrated systems to guarantee seamless and efficient operations once the new station is fully operational.
