Providing vital services for wayside signal and grade crossing systems.
MRS fully installed, tested, and commissioned the wayside signal and grade crossing warning systems on the Michigan Amtrak East ITCS Project. This 132-mile rail line runs between Ann Arbor and Kalamazoo.
The project scope included installing 70 intermediate signals, 31 electric locks, and 200 grade crossing warning systems. This involved implementing new controls and signals, 28 industrial sidings with circuits to protect derails, and 17 complex interlockings. Additionally, the communications scope required installing and integrating a dedicated fiber optic system and 31 radio transmission towers to provide train-to-wayside information.
